Episode 37: Toni Jaume Ripoll

In this episode, Tara speaks to the charming and distinguished Toni Jaume Ripoll. Toni’s family has roots in Deia that go back to the 1300’s, and he is a wealth of knowledge on the history of Deia and the island of Mallorca. In their talk, they go back to an earlier time when tradition, and water rights met bohemian artists from the mainland, creating and shaping the culture of Mallorca. This talk is a reminder that the village elders are a valuable source of lore and history, and it is a blessing to sit with tea and cookies and have a wonderful visit.
